Aster Lab brings to life the jeweled costume designed by Jolie Papillon, exploring fabulous vintage inspirations without losing that touch of class for an aesthetic rich in sparkling details. "So many fabulous inspirations," says Jolie Papillon, "came together to create the sketch: from the original Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend costume (the one that never made it to the screen), to the iconic jeweled red look of the legendary Moulin Rouge showgirl, the pink feathers of Lucille Ball in Ziegfeld Follies, and the iconic showgirl style of Bob Mackie."
The costume stands out with a crystal bra in Crystal, Aurora Boreale, and Moonlight, featuring a rigid structure for a perfect fit and a central fringe pendant. Coordinated pasties ensure coverage and brilliance, while a V-cut skirt with multi-layered bands of octagons, baguettes, and draping strands on the thighs adds stage-worthy movement. The soft headpiece enhances makeup with every gesture, while two exquisite bracelets complete the look, perfectly matching the choker.
