The most glittering, over-the-top and exciting contest ever, Drag Race Italia, has landed in Italy. After the great success of the Dutch and Spanish editions, also in the Bel Paese the format signed by Ru Paul has made its triumphant entrance strictly in heels and rhinestones.
In the Italian version, the conduction was entrusted to the bubbly trio of Chiara Francini, Tommaso Zorzi and the wonderful Priscilla, drag queen of the show. And it was for Priscilla that we had the pleasure and honour of creating the jewels of the outfits she masterfully showed off on the Drag Race Italia mainstage.
Each look has been studied with her, to create harmonious, elegant and captivating combinations capable of enhancing her sparkling stage presence to the maximum. It was a great team effort, involving Luciano Fiore Couture for the dresses and Sei Seta Wigs for the wigs.
The photos of the shooting carried out for the program frame an enchanting Priscilla wearing a variety of Aster Lab creations. Among these are the rainbow necklace and matching earrings, inspired by the flag symbol of freedom and rights. Worn by our muse, there are also earrings in crystral and black diamond with a modern design that experiments with shapes and colors in an ultra chic mix. All available in the shop.
In the programme's launch spot, created in a highly original contemporary baroque style, Priscilla completes her outfit with a crystal parure in warm, opulent golden tones, consisting of earrings and a necklace that opens with a large central rosette.
But our work didn't stop there. We wanted to bring further contributions to the concept of design, creativity and originality that permeates the idea of Drag Race Italia. So, as Official Sponsor of the programme, we put our skills to work and created some of the prizes to reward the talent of competitors.
Episode I - Ciao Italia!
With the first episode of Drag Race Italia, the history of Italian television is made! For the first time, the first proudly LGBTQI+ friendly programme is coming to Italy. So we couldn't help but choose a prize for the mini-challenge with all the rainbow colours to represent, in a symbolic way, the whole community that has been waiting for such a programme in Italy for years.
Yes, because Drag Race Italia is this: shapes, colours, sparkle and elegance mixed in the most sublime way, to give all spectators the idea of how diversity is richness.
The mini-challenge set includes Statement Earrings and Ring, made with Swarovski and Preciosa crystals in rainbow flag colours.
The earrings are composed by a long, very long, fringe in all the colours of the rainbow, caressing the neckline and flowing down over the décolleté and giving movement, richness and elegance to even the most sober and essential looks.
The oversize ring echoes the focus shapes of the earrings, completing the outfit.
For her first appearance on the Drag Race Italia mainstage, our sparkling Priscilla brings all the magic of a true landlady with a chic soul. Earrings and rings with an essential but never banal soul. Marquise, "Sphinx eye" and square cut crystals in all the nuances of black, purple and Volcano for a prime time look that doesn't want to go unnoticed.
Episode II - Divas
In the second episode of Drag Race Italia, the prize to be won by Aster LAB was a set of necklace and ring in crystal and aurora borealis with sophisticated lines: a combination of shapes and colours that a Drag Queen's jewellery drawer should never lack.
The Collier is made using the most innovative handcraft techniques to emphasise the face, without sacrificing the most extravagant and unusual shapes.
Elegant, sophisticated, high fashion, the necklace is embellished with small drop-cut crystals for a strong design.
The ring, the focus of which is an oversized roundel finished with Swarovski and Preciosa crystals, completes the look.

Episode III - Night of a Thousand Raffaella Carràs
This special episode of Drag Race Italia, dedicated to the memory of the great icon Raffaella Carrà, saw a Priscilla in keeping with the style of the timeless Italian showgirl, wearing a set of necklace and earrings in a gold, AB Colour and Crystal mix.
Scorpion necklace features the iconic shiny metal collar, which lends great modernity to the creation, along with the elongated composition of oversized crystals that cascade down the neckline.
The earrings, which echo the style of the necklace, were made exclusively for Priscilla, but we have also created a light version of these which is available in the Shop.
For this third episode, we have given away a set of Statement Earrings, Oversize Ring and Bracelet in gold and royal blue tones. A baroque-looking set, tending towards the exaggerated with crystal-laden lines.
Episode IV - Snatch Game & Fab 80's
The queen of the Drag Race Italia stage walked the runway for the third time wearing a necklace and earrings by Aster LAB. A set with modern lines, with large oversize crystals in Peridot, Black (Jet) and AB Colour.
The earrings are inspired by our original Scorpion model, available in the shop in Crystal and Gold versions.
The necklace, on the other hand, is a sneak preview of our SS22 collection and will be available for sale as early as January 2022.
Episode V - Long Live the Drag Bride
We have made two prizes for this episode: a set of Statement Earrings, Ring and Bracelet in total Tanzanite Colour and AB Colour for the minichallenge and a complete set of Imperial Collier, Earrings and Bracelet for the Week-Winner.
The Imperial Set is the flagship of our jewellery collection. A creation that wraps around the neck and descends towards the décolleté, embellishing it with oversize crystals in a kaleidoscope of lights, shapes and styles that blend perfectly together.
Octagonal, marquise and rivoli cut crystals are just some of the 2,000 Swarovski and Preciosa elements that make up the creation.
A pendant, attached to the centre of the necklace, accompanies the gaze down the entire silhouette, giving a refined effect, studded with light. In a single word, unique!
The earrings echo the patterns of the necklace, completing the look together with the bracelet. A regal and opulent set, the result of a meticulous handcrafted work.
The Imperial Set is our 'crown jewel' dedicated to the Queen winner of the semi-final and best Drag of the week.
Priscilla, for the semi-final of Drag Race Italia, wore a necklace made entirely with Swarovski crystals in the colours of Hyacint, Black (Jet) and Gold Shadow and a pair of fringe earrings made with crystals in contrasting shapes and colours.
The mash-up of this set combines the lines of jewellery created to embellish the décolleté with plays of light and defined shapes. Sphinx-eye cut crystals refine the design, giving importance and prestige to the face.
Episode VI - Grand Finale
The participation in the magnificence of this first season of the Italian Drag Race is for us a reason of pride and satisfaction because, once again, with our work we wanted to support the importance of drag performance in the mainstream art scene.
Therefore, we extend our warmest wishes for a glittering artistic journey to all eight fantastic drags who competed on stage.
